Countdown to Vegas
Gentlemen,
Welcome to the 9th Annual Spring Vegas Trip website. For many of us, our annual Las Vegas trip is the highlight of the year. Those who attended last year’s trip, might even call it our best trip ever. That leaves us with a pretty high hurdle to clear for 2009.
What do we have in store for this year?
First of all, we will be staying at the fabulous Mirage. Since the economy sucks, and some of us have decent play there, our rooms are once again comped.
Secondly…the bar crawl is back! Albeit, a slightly less ambitious version of last year’s crawl. This year, we will hit 9 carefully selected bars throughout Las Vegas. We have a couple of favorites that are returning from last year, as well as a bunch of highly rated new ones. This year all the bars on the crawl were selected to be in (or next to) a casino that we are scheduled to visit. So, there will be no going out of our way just to grab a drink. Check out the map for detailed information on each bar, and familiarize yourself with the 9 destinations and featured drinks.

Next, the gambling schedule. We all know that this is a crew that likes to spend a large amount of our Vegas time at the tables. With the help of a number of Las Vegas Resources, we have scoped out the best blackjack and craps games in Vegas. In years past, this meant us playing at some terrible casinos….like Terrible’s. However, another side benefit of a crappy economy is lower table minimums at the top casinos. This year, we are scheduled to play at the likes of Venetian, Mirage, and Mandalay Bay. Additionally, since our last visit, Las Vegas has seen the opening of the new Encore Hotel and Casino. Since most people agree that it is the nicest casino in Las Vegas, we would be remiss, if we didn’t spend some quality time there. What about the low roller joints you ask? Well, don’t worry. We have a whole day devoted to that too. Friday is all about Luxor, Slots-A-Fun, and our triumphant return to Downtown Las Vegas.
What about the food? With so many amazing options in Las Vegas, it almost impossible to choose only 6 places to eat. This year, we have tried to strike a balance between low, mid, and high-end dining. While at the same time, selecting restaurants that would work with the natural flow of the schedule.
So, take a look at the revised schedule. It has been updated to incorporate the group's collective comments. Let the festivities begin!!!
